Gobs O’Phun is a Swallow Hill St. Patrick’s staple. Having completed 25 years as Denver’s quintessential pub band, the maximum effort for their 26th year is to bring the living room ambiance of the romanticized Irish pub experience to Swallow Hill. Brothers-in-law Denis Sullivan and Martin Lambuth will once again offer the very best and most beloved of Celtic folksongs, utilizing their excellent harmonies backed by guitar, bodhran and harmonica.

Always faithful to the essence of these great tunes, the Gobs offer historical background, humor and abiding love for what they do in an infectious, energetic style. The Gobs are always adding more material either musical or comical, but for this show they’ll hammer the basics that have proven appeal based on countless appearances in concert, festival, pub and media appearances.

They sing songs that tell stories. And because of the universal themes in the songs—whether it’s love, relationships, overcoming adversity, honor, pride, freedom or humorous in nature—their music will charm all cultural backgrounds and send everyone off with a feeling of good cheer. Tuft Hall will be warmly intimate for a great evening featuring the best of Gobs.
