Swallow Hill Music's Rocky Mountain Gypsy Jazz Festival originally scheduled for April 17-18, 2020 has been canceled.

David is an Emmy-winning songwriter, author, and visual artist. His musical style has been compared to Tom Waits, Randy Newman, and Leonard Cohen. A long-time professor of English Literature, his book The Trickster Brain: Neuroscience, Evolution, and Narrative has been taught in universities around the world. His work on PBS series "Oh the Animals" won him an Emmy Award for his songwriting. He has written and produced six full-length albums of original songs, including genres from Americana and folk to Django Reinhardt- inspired gypsy jazz and swing.

The Trickster Carousel includes Ashlynn Manning, Channing Lynn, Duane Webster, and Steve Balgooyen.

Déjà Swing presents vintage swing music to dancers, listeners, and music connoisseurs throughout Colorado. Inspired by Django Reinhardt and The Hot Club of France, the Denver-based quintet captures 1920’s and 30’s jazz with meticulously crafted arrangements, lyrical melodies, and a timeless sound that is both charming and captivating. The group was established in 2018 and features vocalist Rachel Irvin, guitarist Mark Castellano, and violinist Sam Cole. Déjà Swing is available for swing dances, weddings, corporate events, or any venue seeking high quality gypsy jazz.
